What a week (or two). Sydney put on a show with "Vivd". Some paintings were delivered to Late September in Glenbrook. A new amazing, awesome and exciting shop is opening in Springwood called Bella Boheme ,they are live on line to shop (gosh I know some clever people in the Blue Mountains). Sydney turned it on for our long weekend, look at the colour of that water! One of my art works on a scarf SHOP and last but not least, my boy is in Jerusalem, jealous? You bet I am!

Any form of success is not complete unless it is followed with gratitude. Gratefulness, to the support of friends and family and gratitude for those who are part of your definition of success, which in my case are the people who love my paintings so much that they part with their hard earned money to own one. Thank you to the beautiful Sam from Late September for her ongoing and unwavering support of my art work. I am back at the easel enjoying being busy after she has sold all my pieces. Love and light to all.
I am very happy that I have finished another painting. I had hoped to evoke new imagery but another lady appeared, unintentionally. I was mentioning this to a dear friend of mine and she said "Maybe you are creating a tribe". I loved that idea and so "Dream Tribe" was born. Filled with symbols and shapes depicting strength, unity and spirituality this dream scape is bound to the mountains tomorrow to the beautiful shop Late September. If you would like a print of her, have a look at my Redbubble shop where you can find Dream Tribe on all my products.
I have a new painting that I just finished, it just needs photographing and D-Rings fitted before it is ready to be sent out into the world. I love that the process of painting is just fun for me now. I don't do the "Is this good enough? conversation in my head, because if I did I would never paint again. The process and joy, the feel of paint and the execution is what makes a piece of art. If all these ingredients are working then the end result will look after itself.
In the mean time Redbubble are kicking some exciting goals! They have launched a new product....scarves, they are sheer, pretty and perfect for the upcoming cooler months. I hope you like them. Some of my favourite things this week, the "Spiritual Warrior" tote bag from my Redbubble shop, "The Man" stickers inspired by my eldest and "Grateful" stickers. Not to mention my gorgeous Spiritual Gangster singlet, explaining the meaning of "Namaste".....LOVE!!!
I just ordered a Redbubble travel mug from my shop with my Aloha Sunrise design, for a friend of mines birthday. I love it, the quality is wonderful as well as the cool packaging and it is the perfect size.
My husband doesn't believe in Valentines Day......nah, nope, not at all. He does have an issue around the commercialism of it, but he also believes that everyday should be a day of love - "Everyday is Valentine's Day" he says, and then I will get flowers on random days throughout the year. In spite of this I will leave him a card on his pillow every 14th February.
I am not adverse the commercialism of St Valentines Day, or to the joy of people buying something for their loved ones, any day of the year! I love designing and creating hearts and decorative art. I also love making it affordable so it is easier for all to own and give. I just ordered a batch of cards from my Redbubble shop and the quality is lovely, they start at $2.86 and there are lots of hearts to choose from. There are also original hearts to be found in my shop here, mixed media hearts on canvas. So enjoy your Valentines Day, no matter how you celebrate it and to quote The UK Prime Minister (Hugh Grant) "If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling that you will find that love actually is all around" - The Prime Minister, Love Actually Samantha from Late September posted this lovely photo of "Spiritual Warrior" on her Instagram account. I love my art hanging on her shop walls.
This is my first completed creative project for 2015, and is called "Love Canvases". I hope to create more as they bring me such joy and the combination of paper and paint is limitless. I love working with paper and paint and I seem to be on an endless journey to discover the best ways these two mediums work together. I hope you like them, they are for purchase here and local delivery is free.
